A cozy living room by Billy Ceglia Design.

Want to craft an interior that’s naturally warm and inviting? Rooms with fireplaces will ignite your excitement for the season ahead.

“A tired, cherry-paneled space was given new life with a coat of Benjamin Moore’s Bittersweet Chocolate. The fireplace wall was updated with leather-lined, glass, and bronze built-ins from Newday Woodwork and an updated take on a bolection- style mantle — all to highlight the artwork by Laura Owens. The fireplace is Newday Woodwork. Four custom club chairs, upholstered in Rogers and Goffigon fabric, were chosen for comfort and practicality. They are all on casters, for easy mobility to watch TV, to pull up closer to the custom stainless-and-zebra ottoman for a game of Monopoly, or to gaze at the roaring fire on a cold, winter night. Kravet custom Roman shades in chocolate-brown Ultrasuede banded in chocolate satin allow for light control and privacy while adding an interesting textural contrast to the space. Vintage walnut cabinets are from AERO Studio, and the ceiling light is Thomas O’Brien for Visual Comfort. The table lamp is vintage Maison Jansen.”
